May today and every day be a Happy Valentine’s Day! We hope and pray that this is a day that you and your spouse or partner faithfully honor and observe.
While Valentine’s Day originated as a Christian feast day honoring a martyr named Valentine, it has taken on different meanings over the centuries. Through folk traditions that later followed, Valentine’s Day has become a significant cultural, religious, and commercial celebration of love, romance, and commitment in many parts of the world.
As a day for commemorating and celebrating romance and love, one component that rises to the top of importance is commitment. Love means little without commitment. Love requires trust, integrity, and commitment to last. May we every day be faithful in honoring our spouses, our love for them, and our commitment to them and our families!
Recovering from Infidelity
If you have experienced infidelity-induced trauma caused by the emotional and sexual betrayal of your spouse, there is hope! If you are a child affected by parental infidelity, there is hope! If you are a spouse who has betrayed the trust, love, and fidelity of your marriage, there is hope! We recommend that you seek support through professional counseling and therapy as well as through groups dedicated to supporting you through this traumatic journey. You are not alone and recovery and healing are possible!
